# Asset Management

For devices that your company owns, the asset fields connect Device Inventory Manager to your asset register.

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Asset** | Yes if the device is registered as a company asset. |
| **Asset Code** | The code in your asset register. |
| **Asset Status** | **Not Started**, **In Progress**, **Completed**: where the device is in your registration process. Useful when registration is done by another department, for example finance. |
| **Asset Date** | Date of registration. |
| **Sale Price** | Price at which the device was sold when it left the fleet. |

Fill them in on the device page (see [Editing Device Fields](https://wiki.cyberguard.srl/dim/devices/editing-device-fields.md#asset)). Editing them requires the **Edit Asset** permission, so you can give it to the finance team without letting them change anything else.

In **Rentals / Assets** › **General**, filter by **Asset** and **Asset Code** to find registered devices, or by **Status** to find those still to complete.

The **Assets** export lists all devices registered as assets with code, date, price and lifecycle status (see [Export](https://wiki.cyberguard.srl/dim/import-export/export.md)).
